Black tea, which is the most well-known form of tea in the world and is usually grown in the Far East, arrived in Turkey a long time ago, and it is accepted that the highest quality black tea is obtained from plants grown in these regions.
Although it contains fewer antioxidants than other types of tea, it has become the most consumed form of tea thanks to its more characteristic flavor and aroma. It combines very well with various spices, fruits and aromatic oils. For this reason, it is possible to obtain many different blends from black tea.
Black tea is resistant to high temperatures because it is a fully oxidized type of tea. However, boiling the tea during preparation, keeping it in boiling water or prolonging the preparation time too long causes the “tannins” in the structure of the leaves to mix with the water in large quantities and the quality of the drink decreases significantly.
